Bridge Walk for the Arts
Walk across Johnson Street Bridge from the Ocean Point Hotel to Swans Pub to celebrate the bridge before it is replaced, and to celebrate Ekstasis Editions for thirty years of literary publishing, and The Malahat Review, a big Winner at the National Magazine Awards, Victoria institutions which have had their funding cut. Readers at Swans Pub: Bob Hilles, Tim Lilburn, Patricia Young, Terence Young, Barbara Peace, Susan Stenson, Douglas Henderson and Marilyn Bowering. Music from Light Sweet Crude.

Ekstasis Editions and Literacy Victoria present the fourth annual Ekstasies
Ekstasies celebrates literacy with readings from both new and experienced writers. Linda Rogers will introduce three readers from Literacy Victoria during the first half of this extraordinary annual fund-raising event. This year's line-up of authors includes Tim Lilburn, Anne Swannell, Yvonne Blomer and Elizabeth Rhett Woods. A donation of $5.00 to Literacy Victoria is suggested.

From its inception in 2005, The Pacific Rim Review of Books has cast a close, constructive eye on contemporary literature. With a new tenth issue and the launch of an anthology presenting the best of the previous nine, the PRRB now confirms its place in contemporary Canadian arts & letters. The launch will present readings by many of the writers featured in the new issue.
